The Log Cabin is Judy’s favorite quilt pattern so it made sense she chose that pattern for a barn quilt. She commissioned the art students at Staples Motley High School to paint it for her in 2024.
Judy has been selling antiques for 47 years and ice cream for thirty-nine! The silo is over 100 years old and made of jack pine. It stood empty for 10 years before it was purchased and moved in 1985 from a farmer who had used it for silage. It was tipped on its side, placed on a trailer and hauled to Olde Time Trading Post in Motley where it was repurposed into an ice cream parlor that serves over 20 kinds of Kemps Ice Cream. Outside on the porch you will find an array of vintage coin-operated rides from the 1950s. Inside there are wonderful antiques, old books and magazines. It is definitely worth a stop!
