The “Interwoven Star” barn quilt signifies the many servicemen and servicewomen who served their country from the Staples Area. The Staples Veteran Park was established in 2009. It features memorial pavers and benches, 80′ flagpole flying a 20’ x 30’ flag, and 6 branches of service flags: Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine. Painted by students in the Art II Design class at Staples Motley High School.
